Seattle's Travels ✈ (Amazing, I have traveled around parts of the US with my family and or a friend, never outside the US and never alone, minus the day trips to Canada as a child. I don’t speak any anything but English, is it moderately simple to get around that? Or darn near impossible? Do you think it would be better to start in the US by myself? To be honest, I think it’s best just to jump right in to something more challenging. As I mentioned, my very first trip was Italy; I was 17 and just moved there for the summer, alone (without knowing the language). BUT—I wouldn’t suggest that to anyone that wouldn’t be comfortable with it. If you are nervous, try it out in an Anglophone country first. You could also try Quebec, because you’ll hear lots of French, feel like you’re in Europe, but still be cushioned by the common English :]
